Step back in time with pictures and displays of Ocean City back when it was a quiet little fishing village. See how small local rescue teams developed into the Coast Guard.

The Oceanbowl skate park is a great place to go with you little ones. There is an obversation deck and the surrounding area has a playground, basket ball and tenis courts, a couple of large fields and a boardwalk on the bay to walk along of fish from. So while jounior is skating .. noone else is board.

On the bay from second to fourth street is the bayside boardwalk. Beautiful place to catch the sunset and just a short walk from the beach boardwalk. The channel runs by here so its good for fishing and watching the boats on their way out to the ocean.

About 15 minutes south of Ocean city on rt 611 is Assateague State and National Parks. The national side of the park has a fee and is the side of the island that leads to the 4 wheel drive beach.

About an hour south of Ocean City on the south western edge of Assateague lies the sleepy little community of Chinocteague and Chinocteague National Wildlife Refuge.

Each summer the Firemen of Chincoteague hold their annual pony pinning, where ponies rounded up on Assateague and made to swim across the channel to Chincoteague for auction.

The Wildlife Refuge has a lighthouse you can climb to the top of and bike trails through out the park. Ride along a see a wide variety of wildlife in their natural surroundings.

On the way to Chincoteague is the Wallops Island Visitors Center

Wallops Island is like a small Cape Canaveral and home of NASA on the Eastern Shore.

The visitor center has alot of intersting items on display as well as educational videos and a collection of old rockets around the building.
